ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management System Certificate

ISO has produced a new standard, ISO 45001, Occupational health and safety management systems – Requirements, to decrease the burden of occupational injuries, diseases, and work-related incidents on both employers and the wider economy. It assists enterprises around the world in combating these issues by providing a framework that proactively improves employee safety, reduces workplace risks, and creates better, safer working environments.

The standard was developed by a group of occupational health and safety specialists, and it uses the Common Framework to follow other generic management system techniques such as ISO 14001 and ISO 9001. The ISO 45001 standard establishes a reliable and efficient set of procedures for enhancing workplace safety in worldwide supply chains. The new International Standard, which is intended to assist businesses of all sizes and industries, is expected to minimise occupational accidents and illnesses around the world


All of the ISO 45001:2018 requirements are meant to be incorporated into any OH&S management system. The scope of implementation will be determined by criteria such as the organization’s health and safety policy, the nature of its activities, and the hazards and complexity of its operations.

In accordance with the requirements of this ISO 45001:2018 Standard, the organisation shall establish, record, implement, maintain, and continuously improve an OH&S management system, and determine how it will meet these requirements.
